Cattle need a balanced diet that consists of various components, including vitamins, minerals, protein, and roughage.

Roughage commonly consists of a coarser material and must be regurgitated and chewed. The saliva mixed with the roughage balances the pH levels of the feed bringing the acidity down. Ideally, roughage should not be palletised or compressed. (Wagnou Volvoer provides roughage with optimal fibre length: loose and long fibre filaments of approximately 25mm.) Roughage stimulates the wall of the rumen, giving it the necessary kick-start for the micro-organisms to break down the ingested food and ensuring that essential components are processed thereby using all the available nutrients in the fodder.

In addition to the WagNou Volvoer, a feed has been developed for small livestock.

WagNou Volvoer can be utilised to improve or sustain the condition of animals and (when provided ad-lib) to fatten animals for the slaughter market.

Wagnou Volvoer is unique in the sense that it is fully balanced regarding energy, protein, micronutrients, AND enough roughage that it can be utilised as a single feed and no other products have to be supplied (just add cattle). Our feed is packaged in practical bags of 40kg.
